In arşiţa verii, într-o casă izolată de la ţară, doi gemeni de zece ani îşi aşteaptă mama. Când se întoarce, are capul înfăşurat în bandaje în urma unei operaţii estetice şi totul se schimbă. Dură şi distantă, mama îşi separă familia de lumea înconjurătoare. Tot mai convinşi că femeia de lângă de ei nu mai este mama lor, gemenii sunt hotărâţi să afle adevărul, indiferent de mijloace.
In the heat of the summer, a lonesome house in the countryside between woods and corn fields, lives nine-year-old twin brothers who are waiting for their mother. When she comes home, bandaged after cosmetic surgery, nothing is like before. The children start to doubt that this woman is actually their mother. It emerges an existential struggle for identity and fundamental trust.
