O tanara pleaca spre orasul natal, la inceputul vacantei, impreuna cu un baiat strain pe care il stie de la scoala. Dupa cateva ore de drum, baiatul o ia pe o scurtatura: Route 606. Fata descopera ca acesta nu este din acelasi oras ca si ea, ci un coleg admirator. El marturiseste ca stie o multime de lucruri despre ea. Fata devine agitata, astfel incat atunci cand masina este scoasa de pe sosea de catre un misterios vehicul, se intreaba daca nu cumva totul este planificat. In scurt timp insa, realizeaza ca are probleme mult mai mari. Peste noapte, intre cei doi se naste o legatura puternica, ei trebuind sa infrunte frigul si spiritele persoanelor implicate in groaznicele evenimente de pe acest drum ce dateaza din anii ’50.
A couple of college students known only as the Girl and the Guy are traveling home to Delaware the day before Christmas Eve. They're on a frozen road that the Guy is convinced is a scenic short-cut. In the middle of nowhere in below freezing conditions they are run off the road by a hit and runner. They soon realize they're caught in a supernatural bubble where a crime from 1953 is doomed to repeat itself, year after year threatening new victims. The Guy attempts to walk back to the last petrol station but his wounds from the crash are worse than he let on.
